Shane Bannister Carwin

In January 1975, Shane was born in Greeley, Colorado. This American former mixed martial artist participated in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Heavyweight division (UFC). He was once the interim heavyweight champion for the UFC. He is regarded as one of the athletes with the strongest punches to ever compete in the UFC.

Carwin and his two brothers were raised by his mother, who had the goal of getting all her sons college educations. He started wrestling when he was six years old. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines as well as a bachelor’s degree in environmental technology from Western State College. Carwin became an engineer out of college and continued to work in that field while pursuing his MMA career.

Carwin competed in college wrestling, placing second in the NCAA Division II Heavyweight National Championship match in 1996 and 1997 and winning it in 1999. He was selected to play in the Senior Bowl and was a two-time All-American in football for Western State. Carwin also coaches wrestling for the University of Northern Colorado on a volunteer basis.

Marilyn is an American politician who was born in Greeley, Colorado in January 1949. is a former Republican member of the United States House of Representatives who served from 2003 to 2009, representing the 4th District of Colorado.Musgrave served on the Agriculture and Small Business Committees. In the 110th Congress, she served as Ranking Minority member of the Specialty Crops, Rural Development, and Foreign Agriculture subcommittee. She also served as the Region Two representative for the Republican Steering Committee. She was the first Republican woman elected to Congress from Colorado.Musgrave lost her seat in 2008 to Democratic challenger Betsy Markey by a 56 to 44 percent margin. Musgrave currently works for the Susan B. Anthony List, a non-profit that supports anti-abortion women in politics.
